Vit C 500 mg, Ca 100 mg, Mg 100 mg, nicotinamide 50 mg, Ca pantothenate 23 mg, vit B1 15 mg, vit B2 15 mg, vit B6 10 mg, Zn 10 mg, folic acid 400 mcg, biotin 150 mcg, vit B12 10 mcg
Indications/Uses
For deficiency & increased requirement of vit C, B & Zn. Most water-soluble vit of B-complex & vit C are not stored by the body adequately: These are needed during extensive physical exercise or during emotional & physical stress, & in case of chronic alcoholic abuse.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & adolescent 1 effervescent tab. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded & is not recommended for childn 12 yr.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals for better absorption or if GI discomfort occurs. Dissolve effervescent tab in a glass of water (200 mL).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity; severe renal insufficiency including individuals on dialysis; nephrolithiasis, hypercalcemia, severe hypercalciuria.
Drug Interactions
Vit C: Desferrioxamine, cyclosporine, disulfiram, warfarin. Food may cause Fe overload in individuals w/ hereditary hemochromatosis & in those heterozygous to this. Lab tests interfere w/ the analyses of glucose, creatinine, carbamazepine, uric acid & inorganic phosphates in urine, serum & of occult blood in feces; tests that measure urinary & blood glucose levels. Vit B6: Levodopa decreases its effect but not when carbidopa is combined w/ levodopa. Lab tests causes a false +ve result in spot w/ Ehrlich's reagent similar to vit B1.
